#1- Approval of Minutes

Minutes of 11/23/10. 

Corrections to Minutes. (1) Under Participants: Insert “L. Toyama”. (2) Under #4 New Business SCC Waiver/Exception Request, insert “1) Attendance Policy; 2) Reporting Student Progress; 3) Early Submittal of Grades Before Winter Break; 4) Not Taking Planning/Collaboration (PC) Days and Staff Development Waiver Days (WD) allowed by the HSTA Contract for SY2011-2012” after “Requests for the next school year:”  

A+ Program: Delete “Any” and replace with “SCC required to short”. Insert “DOE” before MES A+.

Minutes of 11/23/10 approved with corrections.

Bridge Building Event

•        Junior Engineering – Dec. 8, 2010.

 Last Day of Instruction –

•        Dec. 16, 2010 – Full Day of Instruction

•        Jan. 4, 2010 - First Day for Students

 Meeting with New Government Officials –

•        Meeting with Rep. Johansson (MES Alumni) - Discussed upcoming MES CIP projects and is excited to help school.

 Ending of Second Quarter –

•        Academic Financial Plan (will discuss during Community Meeting).

 Certificated (J. Boll): 

4^th Grade – Canned Food Drive

•        Nov. 29th – Dec. 10th – Service Project focusing on Aloha.

•        Field trip to food bank to deliver canned foods collected.

•        Collection at all 4^th Grade classes.

 Classified (L. Toyama): 

•        Nothing new to report.

 Students : 

No student representative present.

Community (C. Tom):

•        Moanalua Gardens Community Association Christmas Party 2^nd Sunday – Dec.12, 2010.

 Parents (S. Casupang): 

•        New Rep. Johansson contacted S. Casupang. He is interested in attending SCC Meeting.

SCC Meeting (L. Toyama)

$200, in SCC budget. Submit receipts to L. Toyama for SCC expenses. Food and refreshments for community meetings to be used for other SCC expenses (paper, supplies, refreshments for meetings).

Review of Academic Financial Plan Draft (J. Oshiro)

Overview of changes made to the drafts presented at last week’s presentation of Academic and Financial Plans. Current draft plans still need to be approved by District. School to present to Complex (Dec. 10), Complex will review and give feedback, Complex Area Supervisors will provide comments (Jan. 27)
